²² On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much as usual—four quarts^[a] for each person instead of two. Then all the leaders of the community came and asked Moses for an explanation.

⁵ On the sixth day they will gather food, and when they prepare it, there will be twice as much as usual.”

²² When you plant your fields in the eighth year, you will still be eating from the large crop of the sixth year. In fact, you will still be eating from that large crop when the new crop is harvested in the ninth year.

¹² It will be a jubilee year for you, and you must keep it holy. But you may eat whatever the land produces on its own.

³¹ But Moses called out to them and asked Aaron and all the leaders of the community to come over, and he talked with them.

¹⁶ These are the Lord’s instructions: Each household should gather as much as it needs. Pick up two quarts^[a] for each person in your tent.”
