^12 (A)that you shall ^[a]set apart to the Lord all that open the womb, that is, every firstborn that comes from an animal which you have; the males shall be the Lord’s.

¹⁵ “Everything that first opens ^(A)the womb of all flesh, which they bring to the Lord, whether man or beast, shall be yours; nevertheless ^(B)the firstborn of man you shall surely redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem.

²⁶ ‘But the ^(A)firstborn of the animals, which should be the Lord’s firstborn, no man shall dedicate; whether it is an ox or sheep, it is the Lord’s.

^19 (A)“All ^[a]that open the womb are Mine, and every male firstborn among your livestock, whether ox or sheep.

³⁰ The ^(A)best^[a] of all firstfruits of any kind, and every sacrifice of any kind from all your sacrifices, shall be the priest’s; also you ^(B)shall give to the priest the first of your ground meal, ^(C)to cause a blessing to rest on your house.

^2 (A)“Consecrate^[a] to Me all the firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and beast; it is Mine.”

The Law Concerning Firstborn Animals

^19 (A)“All the firstborn males that come from your herd and your flock you shall ^[a]sanctify to the Lord your God; you shall do no work with the firstborn of your herd, nor shear the firstborn of your flock.

²⁹ “You shall not delay to offer ^(A)the first of your ripe produce and your juices. ^(B)The firstborn of your sons you shall give to Me.

^17 (A)For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are Mine, both man and beast; on the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I ^[a]sanctified them to Myself.
