⁸ They shall eat the lamb that same night; they shall eat it roasted over the fire with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.^(A)

²⁵ “You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven, and the sacrifice of the festival of the Passover shall not be left until the morning.^(A)

⁵² The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”^{(A) 53} So Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.^{(B) 54} Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day,^{(C) 55} for my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. ⁵⁶ Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me and I in them.^{(D) 57} Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me will live because of me.

⁷ You shall cook it and eat it at the place that the Lord your God will choose; the next morning you may go back to your tents.^(A)

³ You must not eat with it anything leavened. For seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it—the bread of affliction—because you came out of the land of Egypt in great haste, so that all the days of your life you may remember the day of your departure from the land of Egypt.^{(A) 4} No leaven shall be seen with you in all your territory for seven days, and none of the meat of what you slaughter on the evening of the first day shall remain until morning.^(B)

¹¹ In the second month on the fourteenth day, at twilight,^[a] they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.^{(A) 12} They shall leave none of it until morning nor break a bone of it; according to all the statute for the Passover they shall keep it.^(B)

¹⁸ “You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened or let the fat of my festival remain until the morning.

⁷ Unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days; no leavened bread shall be seen in your possession, and no leaven shall be seen among you in all your territory.

The Festival of Unleavened Bread

³ Moses said to the people, “Remember this day on which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, because the Lord brought you out from there by strength of hand; no leavened bread shall be eaten.^(A)
