⁶ Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month,^(A) when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.^(B)

⁵ The Lord’s Passover^(A) begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.^(B)

¹⁵ They slaughtered the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed and consecrated^(A) themselves and brought burnt offerings to the temple of the Lord. ¹⁶ Then they took up their regular positions^(B) as prescribed in the Law of Moses the man of God. The priests splashed against the altar the blood handed to them by the Levites. ¹⁷ Since many in the crowd had not consecrated themselves, the Levites had to kill^(C) the Passover lambs for all those who were not ceremonially clean and could not consecrate their lambs^[a] to the Lord. ¹⁸ Although most of the many people who came from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not purified themselves,^(D) yet they ate the Passover, contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the Lord, who is good, pardon everyone

The Passover^(A)

¹⁶ “‘On the fourteenth day of the first month the Lord’s Passover^(B) is to be held.

¹¹ but they are to do it on the fourteenth day of the second month^(A) at twilight. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.^(B)

¹⁸ In the first month^(A) you are to eat bread made without yeast, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day.

²⁷ Indeed Herod^(A) and Pontius Pilate^(B) met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus,^(C) whom you anointed.

²¹ “‘In the first month on the fourteenth day you are to observe the Passover,^(A) a festival lasting seven days, during which you shall eat bread made without yeast.

The Passover

9 The Lord spoke to Moses in the Desert of Sinai in the first month^(A) of the second year after they came out of Egypt.^(B) He said, ² “Have the Israelites celebrate the Passover^(C) at the appointed time.^{(D) 3} Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month,^(E) in accordance with all its rules and regulations.^(F)”
