³⁵ The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold^(A) and for clothing.^(B)

²¹ “And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed^(A) toward this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed.^{(B) 22} Every woman is to ask her neighbor and any woman living in her house for articles of silver^(C) and gold^(D) and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters. And so you will plunder^(E) the Egyptians.”^(F)

² Tell the people that men and women alike are to ask their neighbors for articles of silver and gold.”^{(A) 3} (The Lord made the Egyptians favorably disposed^(B) toward the people, and Moses himself was highly regarded^(C) in Egypt by Pharaoh’s officials and by the people.)

¹⁴ But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out^(A) with great possessions.^(B)
