^7 (A)But against none of the children of Israel ^(B)shall a dog ^[a]move its tongue, against man or beast, that you may know that the Lord does make a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.’

²¹ And all the people returned to the camp, to Joshua at Makkedah, in peace.

^(A)No one ^[a]moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.

²³ They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. ^(A)But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

²² And in that day ^(A)I will set apart the land of ^(B)Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may ^(C)know that I am the Lord in the midst of the ^(D)land.

⁴ And ^(A)the Lord will make a difference between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt. So nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.” ’ ”

⁷ For who ^[a]makes you differ from another? And ^(A)what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

^22 (A)Then the magicians of Egypt did ^(B)so with their ^[a]enchantments; and Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, ^(C)as the Lord had said.
