² Tell the people that men and women alike are to ask their neighbors for articles of silver and gold.”^(A)

²² Every woman is to ask her neighbor and any woman living in her house for articles of silver^(A) and gold^(B) and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters. And so you will plunder^(C) the Egyptians.”^(D)

³⁵ The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold^(A) and for clothing.^{(B) 36} The Lord had made the Egyptians favorably disposed^(C) toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered^(D) the Egyptians.

¹⁵ Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?’^(A)

⁸ ‘The silver is mine and the gold^(A) is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty.

¹⁰ I clothed you with an embroidered^(A) dress and put sandals of fine leather on you. I dressed you in fine linen^(B) and covered you with costly garments.^{(C) 11} I adorned you with jewelry:^(D) I put bracelets^(E) on your arms and a necklace^(F) around your neck, ¹² and I put a ring on your nose,^(G) earrings^(H) on your ears and a beautiful crown^(I) on your head.^{(J) 13} So you were adorned with gold and silver; your clothes^(K) were of fine linen and costly fabric and embroidered cloth. Your food was honey, olive oil^(L) and the finest flour. You became very beautiful and rose to be a queen.^(M)
