¹⁷ And the Lord said to Moses, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, ^(A)for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”

¹⁴ And this is ^(A)the confidence that we have toward him, that ^(B)if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. ¹⁵ And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

Moses' Intercession

¹² Moses said to the Lord, “See, ^(A)you say to me, ‘Bring up this people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, ^(B)‘I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.’

²¹ He said to him, “Behold, I grant you this favor also, that I will not overthrow the city of which you have spoken.
