Ang Kadakilaan ni Mordecai
10 Si Haring Ahasuerus ay nagpataw ng buwis sa lupain at sa mga baybayin ng dagat.
2 At lahat ng mga gawa ng kanyang kapangyarihan at kalakasan, at ang buong kasaysayan ng mataas na karangalan ni Mordecai na ibinigay sa kanya ng hari, hindi ba nakasulat sa Aklat ng mga Kasaysayan ng mga Hari ng Media at Persia?
3 Sapagkat si Mordecai na Judio ay pangalawa kay Haring Ahasuerus, at siya ay makapangyarihan sa gitna ng mga Judio at bantog sa karamihan ng kanyang mga kamag-anak, sapagkat inuna niya ang kapakanan ng kanyang bayan, at namagitan para sa ikabubuti ng lahat niyang mga kababayan.

The Greatness of Xerxes and Mordecai
10 King Xerxes imposed a tribute throughout his empire, even to the distant coastlands. 2 His great achievements and the full account of the greatness of Mordecai, whom the king had promoted, are recorded in The Book of the History of the Kings of Media and Persia. 3 Mordecai the Jew became the prime minister, with authority next to that of King Xerxes himself. He was very great among the Jews, who held him in high esteem, because he continued to work for the good of his people and to speak up for the welfare of all their descendants.
