6 White and blue linen hangings were fastened with fine white and purple linen cords to silver rods on marble[a] columns. Gold and silver couches(A) were arranged on a mosaic pavement of red feldspar,[b] marble, mother-of-pearl, and precious stones.

New International Version
6 The garden had hangings of white and blue linen, fastened with cords of white linen and purple material to silver rings on marble pillars. There were couches(A) of gold and silver on a mosaic pavement of porphyry, marble, mother-of-pearl and other costly stones.

8 Just as the king returned from the palace garden to the banquet hall,[a] Haman was falling on the couch(A) where Esther was reclining. The king exclaimed, “Would he actually violate the queen while I am in the house?” As soon as the statement left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.(B)
