He held a feast(A) in the third year of his reign for all his officials and staff, the army of Persia and Media,(B) the nobles,(C) and the officials from the provinces. He displayed the glorious wealth of his kingdom and the magnificent splendor of his greatness(D) for a total of 180 days.

At the end of this time, the king held a week-long banquet(E) in the garden courtyard(F) of the royal palace(G) for all the people, from the greatest to the least,(H) who were present in the fortress of Susa.(I)

For a full 180 days he displayed the vast wealth of his kingdom and the splendor and glory of his majesty. When these days were over, the king gave a banquet, lasting seven days,(B) in the enclosed garden(C) of the king’s palace, for all the people from the least to the greatest who were in the citadel of Susa.
