8 Sinabi ni Haman kay Haring Ahasuerus, “Mahal na Hari, may isa pong grupo ng mga tao na naninirahan sa ibaʼt ibang probinsya ng inyong kaharian at may mga sarili po silang kautusan na iba kaysa sa ibang bansa. Hindi sila sumusunod sa mga kautusan ninyo at hindi ito makakabuti para sa inyo kung pababayaan na lang sila. 9 Kung gusto ninyo, Mahal na Hari, mag-utos kayo na patayin silang lahat. At magbibigay po ako ng 350 toneladang pilak sa mga pinuno ng inyong kaharian, at ilalagay nila ito sa taguan ng kayamanan ng hari.”
10 Pagkatapos, kinuha ng hari ang kanyang singsing na pantatak,[a] at ibinigay kay Haman na anak ni Hamedata na Agageo, ang kalaban ng mga Judio.

8 Then Haman said to King Xerxes, “There is a certain people dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom who keep themselves separate. Their customs(A) are different from those of all other people, and they do not obey(B) the king’s laws; it is not in the king’s best interest to tolerate them.(C) 9 If it pleases the king, let a decree be issued to destroy them, and I will give ten thousand talents[a] of silver to the king’s administrators for the royal treasury.”(D)
10 So the king took his signet ring(E) from his finger and gave it to Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews.
