Grandeza de Mardoqueo
10 El rey Asuero no sólo impuso tributo a los países que estaban sobre tierra firme, sino también a los que quedaban sobre las islas del mar. 2 Sus grandes hechos, y también un relato completo de la grandeza de Mardoqueo y de los honores que le dio el rey están escritos en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Media y de Persia. 3 El judío Mardoqueo fue primer ministro con autoridad muy cercana a la del mismo rey Asuero. Por supuesto, él fue muy grande entre los judíos, y lo respetaban todos sus compatriotas, porque hacía todo cuanto podía por su pueblo, y se preocupaba por el bienestar de todos ellos.

The Greatness of Mordecai
10 King Xerxes imposed tribute throughout the empire, to its distant shores.(A) 2 And all his acts of power and might, together with a full account of the greatness of Mordecai,(B) whom the king had promoted,(C) are they not written in the book of the annals(D) of the kings of Media and Persia? 3 Mordecai the Jew was second(E) in rank(F) to King Xerxes,(G) preeminent among the Jews, and held in high esteem by his many fellow Jews, because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews.(H)

10 King Ahasuerus imposed tax on the land and on (A)the coastlands of the sea. 2 And all the acts of his power and might, and the full account of the high honor of Mordecai, (B)to which the king advanced him, are they not written in (C)the Book of the Chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia? 3 For Mordecai the Jew was (D)second in rank to King Ahasuerus, and he was great among the Jews and popular with the multitude of his brothers, for he (E)sought the welfare of his people and spoke peace to all his people.
