²⁸ These days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, in every family, province, and city, and these days of Purim should never fall into disuse among the Jews, nor should the commemoration of these days cease among their descendants.

¹⁴ And the crown^[a] shall be in the care of Heldai,^[b] Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah^[c] son of Zephaniah, as a memorial in the temple of the Lord.

⁷ then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off in front of the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the Israelites a memorial forever.”^(A)

⁸ You shall tell your child on that day, ‘It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’^{(A) 9} It shall serve for you as a sign on your hand and as a reminder on your forehead, so that the teaching of the Lord may be on your lips, for with a strong hand the Lord brought you out of Egypt.^(B)

¹⁷ You shall observe the Festival of Unleavened Bread, for on this very day I brought your companies out of the land of Egypt: you shall observe this day throughout your generations as a perpetual ordinance.^(A)
