²⁸ that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city, that these days of Purim should not fail to be observed among the Jews, and that the memory of them should not perish among their descendants.

⁷ Then you shall answer them that ^(A)the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. And these stones shall be for ^(B)a memorial to the children of Israel forever.”

⁸ And you shall ^(A)tell your son in that day, saying, ‘This is done because of what the Lord did for me when I came up from Egypt.’ ⁹ It shall be as ^(B)a sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the Lord’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt.

¹⁴ “Now the ^[a]elaborate crown shall be ^(A)for a memorial in the temple of the Lord ^[b]for Helem, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen the son of Zephaniah.

¹⁷ So you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for ^(A)on this same day I will have brought your ^[a]armies ^(B)out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an everlasting ordinance.
