³ The ^(A)pride of your heart has deceived you,
You who dwell in the clefts of the rock,
Whose habitation is high;
^(B)You who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to the ground?’

^4 (A)You shall no longer be termed ^(B)Forsaken,^[a]
Nor shall your land any more be termed ^(C)Desolate;^[b]
But you shall be called ^[c]Hephzibah, and your land ^[d]Beulah;
For the Lord delights in you,
And your land shall be married.
⁵ For as a young man marries a virgin,
So shall your sons marry you;
And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
^(D)So shall your God rejoice over you.

42 “Behold! ^(A)My Servant whom I uphold,
My ^[a]Elect One in whom My soul ^(B)delights!
^(C)I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

¹³ There is a generation—oh, how ^(A)lofty are their eyes!
And their eyelids are ^[a]lifted up.
