¹² Now when the turn came for each young woman to go in to King Ahasuerus, after being twelve months under the regulations for the women, since this was the regular period of their beautifying, six months with oil of myrrh and six months with spices and ointments for women—

⁴ that each one of you know how to control his own ^(A)body^[a] in holiness and ^(B)honor, ⁵ not in ^(C)the passion of lust ^(D)like the Gentiles ^(E)who do not know God;

^37 (A)And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, ³⁸ and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and ^(B)wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.
