³ that in the third year of his reign he ^(A)made a feast for all his officials and servants—the powers of Persia and Media, the nobles, and the princes of the provinces being before him—

^21 (A)Then an opportune day came when Herod ^(B)on his birthday gave a feast for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee.

¹⁸ Then the king ^(A)made a great feast, the Feast of Esther, for all his officials and servants; and he proclaimed a holiday in the provinces and gave gifts according to the ^[a]generosity of a king.

Belshazzar’s Feast

5 Belshazzar the king ^(A)made a great feast for a thousand of his lords, and drank wine in the presence of the thousand.

¹⁵ Then Solomon ^(A)awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and ^(B)made a feast for all his servants.

²⁰ Now it came to pass on the third day, which was Pharaoh’s ^(A)birthday, that he ^(B)made a feast for all his servants; and he ^(C)lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.

²⁰ The ram which you saw, having the two horns—they are the kings of Media and Persia.

⁶ So these governors and satraps thronged before the king, and said thus to him: ^(A)“King Darius, live forever! ⁷ All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors, have ^(B)consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions.
