2 Esta es la lista de los cautivos judíos que regresaron a Jerusalén y a las otras ciudades de Judá. Todos ellos eran hijos de los judíos que fueron llevados cautivos a Babilonia por el rey Nabucodonosor.
2 Regresaron bajo la dirección de Zorobabel, Jesúa, Nehemías, Seraías, Relaías, Mardoqueo, Bilsán, Mispar, Bigvay, Rejún y Baná.

del clan de Asaf, que eran los cantores, 128;
de los porteros, descendientes de las familias de Salún, Ater, Talmón, Acub, Jatitá y Sobay, 139.
43-54 De los sirvientes del templo regresaron: las familias de Zijá, Jasufá, Tabaot, Querós, Sigajá, Padón, Lebaná, Jagabá, Acub, Jagab, Salmay, Janán, Guidel, Gajar, Reaías, Rezín, Necoda, Gazán, Uza, Paseaj, Besay, Asena, Meunín, Nefusín, Bacbuc, Jacufá, Jarjur, Baslut, Mejidá, Jarsa, Barcós, Sísara, Temá, Neziaj y Jatifá.
55-57 Entre los que viajaron también estaban los descendientes de los siguientes funcionarios de Salomón: Sotay, Soféret, Peruda, Jalá, Darcón, Guidel, Sefatías, Jatil, Poquéret Hasebayin y Amón.
58 El total de sirvientes del templo e hijos de los funcionarios de Salomón era de 392.
59 Otros regresaron a Jerusalén, por este mismo tiempo, procedentes de las ciudades persas de Tel Melaj, Tel Jarsá, Querub, Adón e Imer. Sin embargo, ellos habían perdido su registro genealógico y no pudieron probar que eran israelitas. 60 Este grupo incluía los clanes de Delaías, Tobías, y Necoda. En total eran 652.
61 Los clanes sacerdotales de Jabaías, Cos y Barzilay (el que se casó con una de las hijas de Barzilay el galaadita y tomó el nombre de la familia de ella), también volvieron a Jerusalén. 62-63 Pero tampoco pudieron demostrar que descendían de familias israelitas, por haber perdido sus registros genealógicos. Así que fueron excluidos del sacerdocio. El gobernador les prohibió comer con los sacerdotes y tener parte en la comida sacerdotal de los sacrificios, hasta que hubiera sido consultado el urim y el tumim, para que Dios les hiciera saber si realmente eran descendientes de los sacerdotes.
64-65 De modo que regresaron a Judá un total de cuarenta y dos mil trescientas sesenta personas, sin contar a los siete mil trescientos treinta y siete esclavos y doscientos miembros del coro, entre hombres y mujeres. 66-67 Llevaron consigo setecientos treinta y seis caballos, doscientas cuarenta y cinco mulas, cuatrocientos treinta y cinco camellos y seis mil setecientos veinte burros.
68 Algunos de los jefes de clanes, al llegar al templo del Señor que estaba en Jerusalén, ofrendaron generosamente para ayudar a la reconstrucción del mismo. 69 Cada uno dio lo que pudo. El valor total de las donaciones ascendió a cuatrocientos ochenta y ocho kilos de oro, dos mil setecientos cincuenta kilos de plata y cien túnicas sacerdotales.
70 Los sacerdotes, los levitas, y una parte del pueblo se establecieron en Jerusalén y en los pueblos vecinos. Los cantores, los porteros, los servidores del templo, y el resto del pueblo regresaron a las demás ciudades de Judá, de donde procedían.

59 ¶ And these went up from Tel Melah, and from Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer, but they could not discern their father’s house and their seed, whether they were of Israel.
60 The sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, six hundred and two and fifty.
61 And of the sons of the Priests, the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Koz, the sons of [k]Barzillai: which took of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
62 These sought their writing of the genealogies, but they were not found: therefore were they put from the Priesthood.
63 And [l]Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy thing, till there rose up a Priest with [m]Urim and Thummim.
64 The whole Congregation together was two and forty thousand, three hundred and threescore,
65 Beside their servants and their maids: of whom were seven thousand, three hundred and seven and thirty: and among them were two hundred singing men and singing women.
66 Their horses were seven hundred, and six and thirty: their mules, two hundred, and five and forty:
67 Their camels four hundred, and five and thirty: their asses, six thousand, seven hundred and twenty.
68 And certain of the chief fathers, when they came to the house of the Lord, which was in Jerusalem, they offered willingly for the house of God, to set it up upon his foundation.
69 They gave after their ability unto the treasure of the work, even one and threescore thousand [n]drams of gold, and five thousand [o]pieces of silver, and an hundred Priests’ garments.
70 So the Priests and the Levites, and a certain of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinim dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
