2 (A)Estos son los hijos de la provincia que subieron de la cautividad, de los desterrados que Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, había llevado cautivos a Babilonia y que volvieron a Jerusalén y a Judá, cada uno a su ciudad, 2 los cuales vinieron con Zorobabel, Jesúa, Nehemías, Seraías[a], Reelaías[b], Mardoqueo, Bilsán, Mispar[c], Bigvai, Rehum[d] y Baana.

36 Los sacerdotes: los hijos de Jedaías(H), de la casa de Jesúa, novecientos setenta y tres; 37 los hijos de Imer(I), mil cincuenta y dos; 38 los hijos de Pasur(J), mil doscientos cuarenta y siete; 39 los hijos de Harim(K), mil diecisiete.
40 Los levitas: los hijos de Jesúa y de Cadmiel, de los hijos de Hodavías[i], setenta y cuatro. 41 Los cantores: los hijos de Asaf, ciento veintiocho. 42 Los hijos de los porteros: los hijos de Salum, los hijos de Ater, los hijos de Talmón, los hijos de Acub, los hijos de Hatita, los hijos de Sobai, en total ciento treinta y nueve.
43 Los sirvientes del templo(L): los hijos de Ziha, los hijos de Hasufa, los hijos de Tabaot, 44 los hijos de Queros, los hijos de Siaha, los hijos de Padón, 45 los hijos de Lebana, los hijos de Hagaba, los hijos de Acub, 46 los hijos de Hagab, los hijos de Salmai, los hijos de Hanán, 47 los hijos de Gidel, los hijos de Gahar, los hijos de Reaía, 48 los hijos de Rezín, los hijos de Necoda, los hijos de Gazam, 49 los hijos de Uza, los hijos de Paseah, los hijos de Besai, 50 los hijos de Asena, los hijos de Mehunim, los hijos de Nefusim[j], 51 los hijos de Bacbuc, los hijos de Hacufa, los hijos de Harhur, 52 los hijos de Bazlut, los hijos de Mehída, los hijos de Harsa, 53 los hijos de Barcos, los hijos de Sísara, los hijos de Tema, 54 los hijos de Nezía, los hijos de Hatifa.
55 Los hijos de los siervos de Salomón(M): los hijos de Sotai, los hijos de Soferet[k], los hijos de Peruda[l], 56 los hijos de Jaala, los hijos de Darcón, los hijos de Gidel, 57 los hijos de Sefatías, los hijos de Hatil, los hijos de Poqueret-hazebaim, los hijos de Ami[m]. 58 El total de los sirvientes del templo y de los hijos de los siervos de Salomón, era de trescientos noventa y dos.
59 Y estos fueron los que subieron de Tel-mela, Tel-harsa, Querub, Addán[n] e Imer, aunque no pudieron demostrar[o] si sus casas paternas o su descendencia[p] eran de Israel: 60 los hijos de Delaía, los hijos de Tobías, los hijos de Necoda, seiscientos cincuenta y dos; 61 y de los hijos de los sacerdotes: los hijos de Habaía, los hijos de Cos, los hijos de Barzilai, que había tomado por mujer a una de las hijas de Barzilai galaadita(N), con cuyo nombre fue llamado. 62 Estos buscaron en su registro de genealogías, pero no se hallaron, y fueron considerados inmundos y excluidos del sacerdocio(O). 63 Y el gobernador[q] les dijo que no comieran de las cosas santísimas(P) hasta que un sacerdote se levantara con Urim y Tumim(Q).
64 Toda la asamblea reunida[r] era de cuarenta y dos mil trescientos sesenta, 65 sin contar sus siervos y siervas, que[s] eran siete mil trescientos treinta y siete; y tenían doscientos cantores y cantoras(R). 66 Sus caballos eran setecientos treinta y seis; sus mulos, doscientos cuarenta y cinco; 67 sus camellos, cuatrocientos treinta y cinco; sus asnos, seis mil setecientos veinte.
68 Y algunos de los jefes de casas paternas, cuando llegaron a la casa del Señor que está en Jerusalén, hicieron ofrendas voluntarias en la casa de Dios para reedificarla[t] sobre sus mismos cimientos. 69 Según sus medios dieron al tesoro para la obra sesenta y un mil dracmas[u] de oro, cinco mil minas[v] de plata(S) y cien túnicas sacerdotales.
70 Y los sacerdotes y los levitas, algunos del pueblo, los cantores, los porteros y los sirvientes del templo habitaban en sus ciudades, y el resto de[w] Israel en sus ciudades(T).

59 And these were they which went up from Telmelah, Telharsa, Cherub, Addan, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, and their seed, whether they were of Israel:
60 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred fifty and two.
61 And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; which took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name:
62 These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
63 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.
64 The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,
65 Beside their servants and their maids, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and there were among them two hundred singing men and singing women.
66 Their horses were seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five;
67 Their camels, four hundred thirty and five; their asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
68 And some of the chief of the fathers, when they came to the house of the Lord which is at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in his place:
69 They gave after their ability unto the treasure of the work threescore and one thousand drams of gold, and five thousand pound of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.
70 So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
