Los que regresaron de Babilonia(A)

2 Ésta es la lista de los israelitas nacidos en Judá que fueron desterrados a Babilonia por el rey Nabucodonosor, y que después del destierro volvieron a Jerusalén y a otros lugares de Judá, cada cual a su población, encabezados por Zorobabel, Josué, Nehemías, Seraías, Reelaías, Mardoqueo, Bilsán, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehúm y Baaná:

3 Los descendientes de Parós, dos mil ciento setenta y dos;
4 los de Sefatías, trescientos setenta y dos;
5 los de Árah, setecientos setenta y cinco;
6 los de Pahat-moab, o sea, de Josué y Joab, dos mil ochocientos doce;
7 los de Elam, mil doscientos cincuenta y cuatro;
8 los de Zatú, novecientos cuarenta y cinco;
9 los de Zacai, setecientos sesenta;
10 los de Binuy, seiscientos cuarenta y dos;
11 los de Bebai, seiscientos veintitrés;
12 los de Azgad, mil doscientos veintidós;
13 los de Adonicam, seiscientos sesenta y seis;
14 los de Bigvai, dos mil cincuenta y seis;
15 los de Adín, cuatrocientos cincuenta y cuatro;
16 los de Ater, o sea de Ezequías, noventa y ocho;
17 los de Besai, trescientos veintitrés;
18 los de Jorá, ciento doce;
19 los de Hasum, doscientos veintitrés;
20 los de Guibar, noventa y cinco;
21 los de Belén, ciento veintitrés.
22 Los hombres de Netofá, cincuenta y seis;
23 los de Anatot, ciento veintiocho.
24 Los descendientes de Bet-azmávet, cuarenta y dos;
25 los de Quiriat-jearim, Quefirá y Beerot, setecientos cuarenta y tres;
26 los de Ramá y Gueba, seiscientos veintiuno.
27 Los hombres de Micmás, ciento veintidós;
28 los de Betel y Ai, doscientos veintitrés.
29 Los descendientes de Nebo, cincuenta y dos;
30 los de Magbís, ciento cincuenta y seis;
31 los del otro Elam, mil doscientos cincuenta y cuatro;
32 los de Harim, trescientos veinte;
33 los de Lod, Hadid y Onó, setecientos veinticinco;
34 los de Jericó, trescientos cuarenta y cinco;
35 los de Senaá, tres mil seiscientos treinta.
36 Los sacerdotes descendientes de Jedaías, de la familia de Josué, novecientos setenta y tres;
37 los descendientes de Imer, mil cincuenta y dos;
38 los de Pashur, mil doscientos cuarenta y siete;
39 los de Harim, mil diecisiete.
40 Los levitas descendientes de Josué y de Cadmiel, que a su vez eran descendientes de Hodavías, setenta y cuatro.
41 Los cantores, descendientes de Asaf, ciento veintiocho.

42 Los porteros eran los descendientes de Salum, los de Ater, los de Talmón, los de Acub, los de Hatitá y los de Sobai. En total, ciento treinta y nueve.

43 Los sirvientes del templo eran los descendientes de Sihá, los de Hasufá, los de Tabaot, 44 los de Querós, los de Siahá, los de Padón, 45 los de Lebaná, los de Hagabá, los de Acub, 46 los de Hagab, los de Salmai, los de Hanán, 47 los de Guidel, los de Gáhar, los de Reaías, 48 los de Resín, los de Necodá, los de Gazam, 49 los de Uzá, los de Paséah, los de Besai, 50 los de Asná, los de Meunim, los de Nefusim, 51 los de Bacbuc, los de Hacufá, los de Harhur, 52 los de Baslut, los de Mehidá, los de Harsá, 53 los de Barcós, los de Sísara, los de Temá, 54 los de Nesíah y los de Hatifá.

55 Los descendientes de los sirvientes de Salomón eran los descendientes de Sotai, los de Soféret, los de Perudá, 56 los de Jaalá, los de Darcón, los de Guidel, 57 los de Sefatías, los de Hatil, los de Poquéret-hasebaím y los de Amón. 58 El total de los sirvientes del templo y de los descendientes de los sirvientes de Salomón era de trescientos noventa y dos.

59 Los que llegaron de Tel-mélah, Tel-harsá, Querub, Adón e Imer, y que no pudieron demostrar si eran israelitas de raza o por parentesco, fueron los siguientes: 60 los descendientes de Delaías, los de Tobías y los de Necodá, que eran seiscientos cincuenta y dos. 61 Y de los parientes de los sacerdotes: los descendientes de Hobaías, los de Cos y los de Barzilai, el cual se casó con una de las hijas de Barzilai, el de Galaad, y tomó el nombre de ellos. 62 Éstos buscaron su nombre en el registro familiar, pero como no lo encontraron allí, fueron excluidos del sacerdocio. 63 Además, el gobernador les ordenó que no comieran de los alimentos consagrados hasta que un sacerdote decidiera la cuestión por medio del Urim y el Tumim.

64 La comunidad se componía de un total de cuarenta y dos mil trescientas sesenta personas, 65 sin contar sus esclavos y esclavas, que eran siete mil trescientas treinta y siete personas. Tenían también doscientos cantores y cantoras. 66 Tenían además setecientos treinta y seis caballos, doscientas cuarenta y cinco mulas, 67 cuatrocientos treinta y cinco camellos y seis mil setecientos veinte asnos.

68 Algunos jefes de familia, al llegar al templo del Señor en Jerusalén, entregaron donativos para reconstruir en su sitio el templo de Dios. 69 Y dieron para el fondo de reconstrucción, conforme a sus posibilidades, cuatrocientos ochenta y ocho kilos de oro, dos mil setecientos cincuenta kilos de plata y cien túnicas sacerdotales.

70 Los sacerdotes, los levitas y algunos del pueblo se quedaron a vivir en Jerusalén, y los cantores, porteros y sirvientes del templo, y los demás israelitas, se quedaron en sus propias ciudades.

36 (H)The priests: the sons of Jedaiah of the house of Jeshua, 973; 37 the sons of (I)Immer, 1,052; 38 (J)the sons of Pashhur, 1,247; 39 the sons of (K)Harim, 1,017.

Levites Returning

40 The Levites: the sons of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the sons of [n]Hodaviah, 74. 41 The singers: the sons of Asaph, 128. 42 The sons of the gatekeepers: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, and the sons of Shobai, 139 in all.

43 The (L)temple servants: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth, 44 the sons of Keros, the sons of [o]Siaha, the sons of Padon, 45 the sons of Lebanah, the sons of Hagabah, the sons of Akkub, 46 the sons of Hagab, the sons of Shalmai, the sons of Hanan, 47 the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar, the sons of Reaiah, 48 the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda, the sons of Gazzam, 49 the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah, the sons of Besai, 50 the sons of Asnah, the sons of Meunim, the sons of [p]Nephisim, 51 the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur, 52 the sons of [q]Bazluth, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha, 53 the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah, 54 the sons of Neziah, and the sons of Hatipha.

55 The sons of (M)Solomon’s servants: the sons of Sotai, the sons of [r]Hassophereth, the sons of [s]Peruda, 56 the sons of Jaalah, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel, 57 the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth-hazzebaim, and the sons of [t]Ami.

58 All the (N)temple servants and the sons of (O)Solomon’s servants totaled 392.

59 Now these were the ones who came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, [u]Addan, and Immer, but they were not able to [v]provide evidence of their fathers’ households and their [w]descendants, whether they were of Israel: 60 the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, and the sons of Nekoda, 652.

Priests Removed

61 Of the sons of the priests: the sons of Hobaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of (P)Barzillai, who took a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and he was called by their name. 62 These searched among their genealogical registration but they could not be located; (Q)so they were considered defiled and excluded from the priesthood. 63 The [x]governor said to them (R)that they were not to eat from the most holy things until a priest stood up with (S)Urim and Thummim.

64 The whole assembly together totaled 42,360, 65 besides their male and female slaves [y]who totaled 7,337; and they had two hundred (T)singing men and women. 66 Their horses numbered 736; their mules, 245; 67 their camels, 435; their donkeys, 6,720.

68 Some of the heads of fathers’ households, when they arrived at the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for the house of God to erect it on its site. 69 According to their ability they gave (U)to the treasury for the work sixty-one thousand gold drachmas, five thousand silver minas, and a hundred priestly [z]garments.

70 (V)Now the priests and the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers, and the temple servants lived in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.

55 The sons of (L)Solomon’s servants: the sons of Sotai, the sons of (M)Sophereth, the sons of [n]Peruda, 56 the sons of Jaala, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel, 57 the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, and the sons of [o]Ami. 58 All the (N)Nethinim and the children of (O)Solomon’s servants were three hundred and ninety-two.

59 And these were the ones who came up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, [p]Addan, and Immer; but they could not [q]identify their father’s house or their [r]genealogy, whether they were of Israel: 60 the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, and the sons of Nekoda, six hundred and fifty-two; 61 and of the sons of the priests: the sons of (P)Habaiah, the sons of [s]Koz, and the sons of (Q)Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called by their name. 62 These sought their listing among those who were registered by genealogy, but they were not found; (R)therefore they were excluded from the priesthood as defiled. 63 And the [t]governor said to them that they (S)should not eat of the most holy things till a priest could consult with the (T)Urim and Thummim.

64 (U)The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty, 65 besides their male and female servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven; and they had two hundred men and women singers. 66 Their horses were seven hundred and thirty-six, their mules two hundred and forty-five, 67 their camels four hundred and thirty-five, and their donkeys six thousand seven hundred and twenty.

68 (V)Some of the heads of the fathers’ houses, when they came to the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God, to erect it in its place: 69 According to their ability, they gave to the (W)treasury for the work sixty-one thousand gold drachmas, five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priestly garments.

70 (X)So the priests and the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
