³ But fornication and all ^(A)uncleanness or ^(B)covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; ^4 (C)neither filthiness, nor ^(D)foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, ^(E)which are not fitting, but rather ^(F)giving of thanks. ⁵ For ^[a]this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any ^(G)inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. ⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. ⁷ Therefore do not be ^(H)partakers with them.

Walk in Light

⁸ For you were once darkness, but now you are ^(I)light in the Lord. Walk as children of light ⁹ (for ^(J)the fruit of the ^[b]Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), ^10 (K)finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. ¹¹ And have ^(L)no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather ^[c]expose them. ^12 (M)For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.

¹⁵ Do you not know that ^(A)your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! ¹⁶ Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For ^(B)“the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” ^17 (C)But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

^18 (D)Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins ^(E)against his own body. ¹⁹ Or ^(F)do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, ^(G)and you are not your own? ²⁰ For ^(H)you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body ^[a]and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Principles of Marriage

7 Now concerning the things of which you wrote to me:

^(I)It is good for a man not to touch a woman. ² Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. ^3 (J)Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.
