¹⁴ Stand therefore, ^(A)having fastened on the belt of truth, and ^(B)having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

⁸ But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, ^(A)having put on the breastplate of ^(B)faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.

^35 (A)“Stay dressed for action^[a] and ^(B)keep your lamps burning,

Called to Be Holy

¹³ Therefore, ^(A)preparing your minds for action,^[a] and ^(B)being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

⁷ by ^(A)truthful speech, and ^(B)the power of God; with ^(C)the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left;

⁹ (for ^(A)the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),

¹⁷ And this is how I saw the horses in my vision and those who rode them: they wore breastplates the color of fire and of sapphire^[a] and of sulfur, and the heads of the horses were ^(A)like lions' heads, and fire and smoke and sulfur came out of their mouths.

⁹ they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings was ^(A)like the noise of many chariots with ^(B)horses rushing into battle.
