Children and Parents

6 ^(A)Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ^2 (B)“Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), ³ “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”

²⁰ Children, obey your parents ^(A)in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

¹⁰ He who supplies ^(A)seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and ^(B)increase the harvest of your righteousness. ^11 (C)You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which ^(D)through us will produce thanksgiving to God. ¹² For the ministry of this service is not only supplying ^(E)the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.
