Ephesians 4:20-24

20 But you did not (A)learn [a]Christ in this way— 21 if indeed you (B)heard Him and were (C)taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, 22 [b]to (D)lay aside, in reference to your former conduct, the (E)old man, which is being corrupted in accordance with the (F)lusts of deceit, 23 and to be (G)renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and to (H)put on the (I)new man, which [c](J)in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

20 But that is not how you came to know Christ, 21 assuming you heard about him and were taught by him, as the truth(A) is in Jesus, 22 to take off[a](B) your former way of life,(C) the old self(D) that is corrupted by deceitful desires, 23 to be renewed[b] in the spirit(E) of your minds, 24 and to put on[c](F) the new self, the one created(G) according to God’s likeness(H) in righteousness and purity of the truth.
