Do Not Grieve the Spirit

²⁵ Therefore, putting away lying, ^(A)“Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for ^(B)we are members of one another. ^26 (C)“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, ^27 (D)nor give ^[a]place to the devil.

³⁰ And ^(A)do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. ^31 (B)Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, ^[a]clamor, and ^(C)evil speaking be put away from you, ^(D)with all malice.
