Do Not Grieve the Spirit

²⁵ Therefore, putting away lying, ^(A)“Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for ^(B)we are members of one another. ^26 (C)“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, ^27 (D)nor give ^[a]place to the devil.

^29 (A)Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but ^(B)what is good for necessary ^[a]edification, ^(C)that it may impart grace to the hearers.

^31 (A)Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, ^[a]clamor, and ^(B)evil speaking be put away from you, ^(C)with all malice.
