Redemption in Christ

^3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, ⁴ just as ^(B)He chose us in Him ^(C)before the foundation of the world, that we should ^(D)be holy and without blame before Him in love, ^5 (E)having predestined us to ^(F)adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, ^(G)according to the good pleasure of His will, ⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace, ^(H)by which He ^[a]made us accepted in ^(I)the Beloved.

^7 (J)In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to ^(K)the riches of His grace ⁸ which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and ^[b]prudence, ^9 (L)having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure ^(M)which He purposed in Himself, ¹⁰ that in the dispensation of ^(N)the fullness of the times ^(O)He might gather together in one ^(P)all things in Christ, ^[c]both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.

¹⁶ that He would grant you, ^(A)according to the riches of His glory, ^(B)to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in ^(C)the inner man, ^17 (D)that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, ^(E)being rooted and grounded in love, ^18 (F)may be able to comprehend with all the saints ^(G)what is the width and length and depth and height— ¹⁹ to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled ^(H)with all the fullness of God.

²⁰ Now ^(I)to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly ^(J)above all that we ask or think, ^(K)according to the power that works in us, ^21 (L)to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

⁸ But ^(A)God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Much more then, having now been justified ^(B)by His blood, we shall be saved ^(C)from wrath through Him. ¹⁰ For ^(D)if when we were enemies ^(E)we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved ^(F)by His life. ¹¹ And not only that, but we also ^(G)rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

¹⁴ For ^(A)as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. ¹⁵ For ^(B)you did not receive the spirit of bondage again ^(C)to fear, but you received the ^(D)Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ^(E)“Abba,^[a] Father.” ^16 (F)The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, ¹⁷ and if children, then ^(G)heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, ^(H)if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
