^16 (A)do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: ¹⁷ that ^(B)the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, ^(C)may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, ^18 (D)the eyes of your ^[a]understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is ^(E)the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, ^(F)according to the working of His mighty power ²⁰ which He worked in Christ when ^(G)He raised Him from the dead and ^(H)seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, ^21 (I)far above all ^(J)principality^[b] and ^[c]power and ^[d]might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

²² And ^(K)He put all things under His feet, and gave Him ^(L)to be head over all things to the church, ^23 (M)which is His body, ^(N)the fullness of Him ^(O)who fills all in all.

By Grace Through Faith

2 And ^(A)you He made alive, ^(B)who were dead in trespasses and sins, ^2 (C)in which you once walked according to the ^[a]course of this world, according to ^(D)the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in ^(E)the sons of disobedience, ^3 (F)among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in ^(G)the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and ^(H)were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

⁴ But God, ^(I)who is rich in mercy, because of His ^(J)great love with which He loved us, ^5 (K)even when we were dead in trespasses, ^(L)made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), ⁶ and raised us up together, and made us sit together ^(M)in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, ⁷ that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in ^(N)His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ^8 (O)For by grace you have been saved ^(P)through faith, and that not of yourselves; ^(Q)it is the gift of God, ⁹ not of ^(R)works, lest anyone should ^(S)boast. ¹⁰ For we are ^(T)His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

^7 (A)of which I became a minister ^(B)according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by ^(C)the effective working of His power.

Purpose of the Mystery

⁸ To me, ^(D)who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles ^(E)the unsearchable riches of Christ, ⁹ and to make all see what is the ^[a]fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who ^(F)created all things ^[b]through Jesus Christ; ^10 (G)to the intent that now ^(H)the ^[c]manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church ^(I)to the ^[d]principalities and powers in the heavenly places, ^11 (J)according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, ¹² in whom we have boldness and access ^(K)with confidence through faith in Him.
