Salutation

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,

To the saints who are in Ephesus and are faithful^[a] in Christ Jesus:

² Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Personal Matters and Benediction

²¹ So that you also may know how I am and what I am doing, Tychicus will tell you everything. He is a dear brother and a faithful minister in the Lord.^{(A) 22} I am sending him to you for this very purpose, to let you know how we are and to encourage your hearts.

²³ Peace be to the brothers and sisters and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.^{(B) 24} Grace be with all who have an undying love for^[a] our Lord Jesus Christ.^[b]

³⁶ When he had finished speaking, he knelt down with them all and prayed.^{(A) 37} There was much weeping among them all; they embraced Paul and kissed him,^{(B) 38} grieving especially because of what he had said, that they would not see him again. Then they brought him to the ship.^(C)

Paul’s Journey to Jerusalem

21 When we had parted from them and set sail, we came by a straight course to Cos, and the next day to Rhodes, and from there to Patara.^[a]
