¹⁴Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,^(A) with the breastplate of righteousness in place,^(B)

¹⁴Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

¹⁶In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith,^(A) with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.^(B)
