(for (A)the fruit of the light consists in all (B)goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 [a](C)as you try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 (D)Do not participate in the useless (E)deeds of (F)darkness, but instead even (G)expose them; 12 for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things become visible (H)when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. 14 For this reason [b]it says,

(I)Awake, sleeper,
And arise from (J)the dead,
And Christ (K)will shine on you.”

15 So then, [c]be careful how you (L)walk, not (M)as unwise people but as wise, 16 [d](N)making the most of your time, because (O)the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but (P)understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And (Q)do not get drunk with wine, [e]in which there is (R)debauchery, but be (S)filled with the Spirit, 19 (T)speaking to [f]one another in (U)psalms and (V)hymns and spiritual (W)songs, (X)singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord; 20 (Y)always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to our (Z)God and Father; 21 [g](AA)and subject yourselves to one another in the [h](AB)fear of Christ.
