Ephesians 5:20-27

²⁰^(A)giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father ^(B)in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, ²¹^(C)submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Wives and Husbands

²²^(D)Wives, ^(E)submit to your own husbands, ^(F)as to the Lord. ²³For ^(G)the husband is the head of the wife even as ^(H)Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is ^(I)himself its Savior. ²⁴Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit ^(J)in everything to their husbands.

²⁵^(K)Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and ^(L)gave himself up for her, ²⁶that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by ^(M)the washing of water ^(N)with the word, ²⁷so ^(O)that he might present the church to himself in splendor, ^(P)without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.^[a]
