Ephesians 4:15-32

¹⁵ but ^[a]speaking the truth ^(A)in love, ^[b]we are to ^(B)grow up in all aspects into Him who is the ^(C)head, that is Christ, ¹⁶ from whom ^(D)the whole body, being joined and held together ^[c]by what every joint supplies, according to the properly ^(E)measured working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself ^(F)in love.

Put On the New Man

^17 (G)Therefore this I say, and testify in the Lord, ^(H)that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the ^(I)futility of their mind, ¹⁸ being ^(J)darkened in their mind, ^(K)alienated from the life of God because of the ^(L)ignorance that is in them, because of the ^(M)hardness of their heart. ¹⁹ And they, having ^(N)become callous, ^(O)have given themselves over to ^(P)sensuality ^[d]for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. ²⁰ But you did not ^(Q)learn ^[e]Christ in this way— ²¹ if indeed you ^(R)heard Him and were ^(S)taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, ^22 [f]to ^(T)lay aside, in reference to your former conduct, the ^(U)old man, which is being corrupted in accordance with the ^(V)lusts of deceit, ²³ and to be ^(W)renewed in the spirit of your mind, ²⁴ and to ^(X)put on the ^(Y)new man, which ^[g](Z)in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

²⁵ Therefore, ^(AA)laying aside falsehood, ^(AB)speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are ^(AC)members of one another. ^26 (AD)Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, ²⁷ and do not ^(AE)give the devil ^[h]an opportunity. ²⁸ He who steals must steal no longer, but rather ^(AF)he must labor, ^(AG)performing with his own hands what is good, ^(AH)so that he will have something to share with ^[i]one who has need. ²⁹ Let no ^[j](AI)unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for ^(AJ)building up ^[k]what is needed, so that it will give grace to those who hear. ^30 (AK)And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, ^[l]by whom you were ^(AL)sealed for the day of redemption. ^31 (AM)Let all bitterness and anger and wrath and shouting and slander be ^(AN)put away from you, along with all ^(AO)malice. ^32 (AP)Instead, be kind to one another, tender-hearted, graciously forgiving each other, ^(AQ)just as God in Christ also has graciously forgiven ^[m]you.
