⁴ There is ^(A)one body and one Spirit, just as you also were called in one ^(B)hope of your calling; ^5 (C)one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

¹¹ “As for me, ^(A)I baptize you ^[a]with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; ^(B)He will baptize you ^[b]with the Holy Spirit and fire. ¹² His ^(C)winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will ^(D)gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the ^(E)chaff with ^(F)unquenchable fire.”

⁴ Therefore we have been ^(A)buried with Him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was ^(B)raised from the dead through the ^(C)glory of the Father, so we too may walk in ^(D)newness of life.

¹¹ and in Him ^(A)you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands, in the removal of ^(B)the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ, ¹² having been ^(C)buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also ^(D)raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who ^(E)raised Him from the dead.

⁵ for ^(A)John baptized ^[a]with water, but you will be baptized ^[b]with the Holy Spirit ^[c](B)not many days from now.”

¹⁴ I am thankful that I ^(A)baptized none of you except ^(B)Crispus and ^(C)Gaius, ¹⁵ so that no one would say you were baptized ^[a]in my name! ¹⁶ But I did baptize the ^(D)household of Stephanas also; beyond that, I do not know if I baptized anyone else. ^17 (E)For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, ^(F)not with ^[b]cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made of no effect.
