¹⁹ Having lost all sensitivity,^(A) they have given themselves over^(B) to sensuality^(C) so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.

² Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.^(A)

⁵ Put to death,^(A) therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature:^(B) sexual immorality,^(C) impurity, lust, evil desires and greed,^(D) which is idolatry.^(E)

²⁴ Therefore God gave them over^(A) in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.^{(B) 25} They exchanged the truth about God for a lie,^(C) and worshiped and served created things^(D) rather than the Creator—who is forever praised.^(E) Amen.^(F)

²⁶ Because of this, God gave them over^(G) to shameful lusts.^(H) Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.^(I)

²² Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,”^[a](A) and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.”

¹¹ Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain;^(A) they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error;^(B) they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.^(C)

¹² But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish.^(A)

¹³ They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight.^(B) They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you.^{[a](C) 14} With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce^(D) the unstable;^(E) they are experts in greed^(F)—an accursed brood!^(G)

³ For you have spent enough time in the past^(A) doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.^(B)
