4 This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and ^(A)stewards of the mysteries of God.

¹⁶ Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:

Wisdom from the Spirit

⁶ Yet among ^(A)the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not ^(B)a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, ^(C)who are doomed to pass away. ⁷ But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, ^(D)which God decreed before the ages for our glory.

² that ^(A)their hearts may be encouraged, being ^(B)knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of ^(C)God's mystery, which is Christ,

¹⁹ and ^(A)also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth ^(B)boldly to proclaim ^(C)the mystery of the gospel,

³² This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.
