^22 (A)in whom you also are being built together for a ^(B)dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

The Chosen Stone and His Chosen People^(A)

⁴ Coming to Him as to a living stone, ^(B)rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, ⁵ you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

^16 (A)Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

¹⁶ And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and ^(A)he who abides in love abides in God, and God ^(B)in him.

^21 (A)that they all may be one, as ^(B)You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. ²² And the ^(C)glory which You gave Me I have given them, ^(D)that they may be one just as We are one: ²³ I in them, and You in Me; ^(E)that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

^13 (A)By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

¹⁶ And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For ^(A)you^[a] are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

⁹ But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. ¹⁰ And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. ¹¹ But if the Spirit of ^(A)Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, ^(B)He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies ^[a]through His Spirit who dwells in you.

^17 (A)the Spirit of truth, ^(B)whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you ^(C)and will be in you. ^18 (D)I will not leave you orphans; ^(E)I will come to you.

Indwelling of the Father and the Son

¹⁹ “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but ^(F)you will see Me. ^(G)Because I live, you will live also. ²⁰ At that day you will know that ^(H)I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. ^21 (I)He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and ^[a]manifest Myself to him.”

^22 (J)Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”

²³ Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, ^(K)and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
