¹⁵ having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one ^(A)new man from the two, thus making peace,

^14 (A)having wiped out the ^[a]handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

^13 (A)In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

The Law Brings a Curse

¹⁰ For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, ^(A)“Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

¹⁰ and have put on the new man who ^(A)is renewed in knowledge ^(B)according to the image of Him who ^(C)created him,

^20 [a]Therefore, if you ^(A)died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, ^(B)why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations—

¹⁵ For ^(A)in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.

^28 (A)There is neither Jew nor Greek, ^(B)there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all ^(C)one in Christ Jesus.

²¹ And you, ^(A)who once were alienated and enemies in your mind ^(B)by wicked works, yet now He has ^(C)reconciled ^22 (D)in the body of His flesh through death, ^(E)to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—

^16 (A)from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
