⁹ he has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ,^(A)

²⁶ the mystery that has been hidden throughout the ages and generations but has now been revealed to his saints.^{(A) 27} To them God chose to make known how great among the gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.^{(B) 28} It is he whom we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.^[a](C)

³ and how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I wrote above in a few words,^{[a](A) 4} a reading of which will enable you to perceive my understanding of the mystery of Christ.^{(B) 5} In former generations this mystery^[b] was not made known to humankind, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:^{(C) 6} that is, the gentiles have become fellow heirs, members of the same body, and sharers in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.^(D)

⁷ Of this gospel I have become a servant according to the gift of God’s grace that was given me by the working of his power. ⁸ Although I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given to me to bring to the gentiles the news of the boundless riches of Christ^{(E) 9} and to make everyone see^[c] what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in^[d] God, who created all things,^(F)

Final Doxology

²⁵ Now to God^[a] who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages^{(A) 26} but is now disclosed and through the prophetic writings is made known to all the gentiles, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith^(B)— ²⁷ to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever! Amen.^[b]

⁹ who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace, and this grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,^[a](A)

¹¹ In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance,^[a] having been destined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to his counsel and will,^(A)

¹¹ This was in accordance with the eternal purpose that he has carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord,

¹⁶ Without any doubt, the mystery of godliness is great:

²⁸ We know that all things work together^[a] for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.^(A)
