18 (A)to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from (B)the power of Satan to God, that they may receive (C)forgiveness of sins and (D)a place among those who are sanctified (E)by faith in me.’
6 For God, who said, (A)“Let light shine out of darkness,” (B)has shone in our hearts to give (C)the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
3 See (A)what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called (B)children of God; and so we are. The reason why (C)the world does not know us is that (D)it did not know him.2 Beloved, we are (E)God's children (F)now, and what we will be (G)has not yet appeared; but we know that (H)when he appears[a](I)we shall be like him, because (J)we shall see him as he is.3 And everyone who (K)thus hopes in him (L)purifies himself as he is pure.
12 (A)Fight the good fight of the faith. (B)Take hold of the eternal life (C)to which you were called and about which you made (D)the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
11 To this end we (A)always pray for you, that our God may (B)make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every (C)work of faith by his power,
10 (A)Make the heart of this people (B)dull,[a] and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; (C)lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”
11 In him we have obtained (A)an inheritance, (B)having been predestined (C)according to the purpose of him who works all things according to (D)the counsel of his will,
24 For (A)in this hope we were saved. Now (B)hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we (C)wait for it with patience.
10 And (A)after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, (B)who has called you to his (C)eternal glory in Christ, will himself (D)restore, (E)confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
9 (A)Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, (B)bless, for (C)to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.
12 we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and (A)charged (B)you to walk in a manner worthy of God, (C)who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.
4 In their case (A)the god of this world (B)has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing (C)the light of (D)the gospel of the glory of Christ, (E)who is the image of God.
