6 opdat wij Hem zouden prijzen voor zijn onovertroffen genade. En Hij heeft ons door zijn geliefde Zoon laten ervaren hoe buitengewoon goed Hij is. 7 Gods Zoon heeft zijn leven en zijn bloed gegeven om ons van de zonde te verlossen. Alles wat wij hebben misdaan, is ons daardoor vergeven. Wat een rijke genade! 8 En dat niet alleen! God heeft ons alle wijsheid en inzicht gegeven.
