8 Si en alguna provincia ves que se oprime al pobre y que a la gente se le niega un juicio justo, no te asombres de tales cosas; porque a un alto oficial lo vigila otro más alto y, por encima de ellos, hay otros altos oficiales. 9 Pero es provechoso para el país que el rey esté al servicio del campo.[a]

8 (7) No te sorprendas si en algún país ves que se oprime al pobre y que se hace violencia a la justicia y al derecho, porque a un alto oficial lo encubre otro más alto, y otros más altos oficiales encubren a estos dos. 9 (8) ¡Y a eso se le llama progreso del país y estar el rey al servicio del campo!

7 For in the multitude of dreams there are vanities, as well as in many words; but you must fear God.
8 If you see the oppression of the poor, and the violent taking away of justice and righteousness in a district, don’t marvel at the matter, for one official is eyed by a higher one, and there are officials over them. 9 Moreover the profit of the earth is for all. The king profits from the field.

8 If you see the poor oppressed(B) in a district, and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things; for one official is eyed by a higher one, and over them both are others higher still. 9 The increase from the land is taken by all; the king himself profits from the fields.
