³ This is an evil in everything that is done under the sun, that there is ^(A)one fate for everyone. Furthermore, ^(B)the hearts of the sons of mankind are full of evil, and ^(C)insanity is in their hearts throughout their lives. Afterward they go to the dead.

¹² You too have done evil, even ^(A)more than your forefathers; for behold, each one of you is following the ^(B)stubbornness of his own ^(C)evil heart, without listening to Me.

²¹ For from within, out of the ^[a]hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery, ²² deeds of greed, wickedness, deceit, indecent behavior, ^[b](A)envy, slander, ^[c]pride, and foolishness.
