Observe the command of the king, in view of your oath to God. Be not hasty to withdraw from the king; do not persist in an unpleasant situation, for he does whatever he pleases. His word is sovereign, and who can say to him, “What are you doing?”

Keep[a] the king’s command because of your sacred oath. Do not be terrified; go from his presence, do not delay when the matter is unpleasant, for he does whatever he pleases. For the word of the king is powerful, and who can say to him, “What are you doing?” Whoever obeys a command will meet no harm, and the wise mind will know the time and way. Obey the King

Do what the king says,[a] and don't make any rash promises to God. The king can do anything he likes, so depart from his presence; don't stay in such a dangerous place. The king acts with authority, and no one can challenge what he does. As long as you obey his commands, you are safe, and a wise person knows how and when to do it. There is a right time and a right way to do everything, but we know so little!

Obey the King
