Ecclesiastes 7:9-11

⁹ Do not be quick in spirit to be angry or vexed, for anger and vexation lodge in the bosom of fools.^(A)

¹⁰ Do not say, Why were the old days better than these? For it is not wise or because of wisdom that you ask this.

¹¹ Wisdom is as good as an inheritance, yes, more excellent it is for those [the living] who see the sun.
