¹⁶ Be not overly righteous, and do not ^(A)make yourself too wise. Why should you destroy yourself?

^16 (A)Live in harmony with one another. ^(B)Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.^{[a] (C)}Never be wise in your own sight.

⁷ For who sees anything different in you? ^(A)What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?

³ For ^(A)we are the circumcision, ^(B)who worship ^(C)by the Spirit of God^[a] and ^(D)glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh— ^4 (E)though I myself have reason for confidence in the flesh also. If anyone else thinks he has reason for confidence in the flesh, I have more:

¹¹ whoever speaks, as one who speaks ^(A)oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves ^(B)by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything ^(C)God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. ^(D)To him belong glory and ^(E)dominion forever and ever. Amen.
