9 Moreover, besides being wise himself, the Teacher taught people what he had learned by listening, making inquiries, and composing many proverbs. 10 The Teacher searched to find appropriate expressions, and what is written here[a] is right and truthful.

9 The Teacher[a] was full of wisdom, and he taught the people with knowledge. He carefully considered many proverbs and carefully arranged them. 10 The Teacher[b] sought to find delightful words,[c] and he wrote[d] what is upright—truthful words.
