¹⁹ And I will say to my soul, ^(A)“Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; ^(B)eat, drink, and be merry.” ’

³ For we have spent enough of our past ^[a]lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.

¹⁵ Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, ^(A)no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. ¹⁶ For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. ¹⁷ Not that I seek the gift, but I seek ^(B)the fruit that abounds to your account. ¹⁸ Indeed I ^[a]have all and abound. I am full, having received from ^(C)Epaphroditus the things sent from you, ^(D)a sweet-smelling aroma, ^(E)an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. ¹⁹ And my God ^(F)shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

¹⁸ And ^(A)do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, ¹⁹ speaking to one another ^(B)in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making ^(C)melody in your heart to the Lord,
