Ecclesiastes 5:4-6

4 When you (A)make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. (B)Pay what you vow! 5 It is (C)better that you not vow, than vow and not pay. 6 Do not let your [a]speech cause [b]you to sin, and do not say in the presence of the messenger of God that it was a (D)mistake. Why should God be angry on account of your voice, and destroy the work of your hands?

4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it.(A) He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.(B) 5 It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.(C) 6 Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, “My vow was a mistake.” Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands?
